FAQ

Frequently asked questions

How do you take payment?

Production starts after a 50% deposit, paid by company-to-company bank transfer (T/T or wire) to Shanghai Langfield Industrial Co., Ltd. The balance is paid in full before shipment. We do not accept personal WeChat, personal cards, or payment to an individual.

How long does a sample take, and is the fee credited?

A production-representative sample is typically ready in 5–7 working days after the brief, yarn and measurements are confirmed. The sample fee is charged first and credited against any later bulk order.

How do you quote a first order, and how do later bulk orders differ?

A first small order, for example 30 pieces, ships by DHL. The quote is the garment value plus freight to your address, and you pay import duty and VAT to the courier on delivery. We do not quote that first order as DDP. Later bulk orders can be quoted EXW, FOB, CIF or another common Incoterm.

What is the minimum order?

When Langfield sources the yarn, the minimum is 30 pieces total per order, with at least 10 pieces in each selected colour and size. When you supply the yarn, the minimum is 50 pieces.

Do you accept customer-supplied yarn?

Yes. Garments knitted from yarn you supply start at 50 pieces. Langfield is not responsible for problems with that yarn. How much yarn to order is agreed between you and your yarn mill.

Will my designs be kept confidential?

We keep customer artwork and specifications confidential and produce branded items only on the buyer's written instruction. Any exclusivity requirement must be agreed in writing before sampling.

What are your typical production lead times?

Knitting and finishing are scheduled through our specialist production network after the order is confirmed. Typical bulk production is 45–60 days; complex styles may require 50–65 days. We provide a written schedule before the 50% deposit.

How can I check the quality during production?

You may request photo or video updates at agreed production stages. Our team coordinates in-process checks and final inspection; independent third-party inspection can be arranged separately when required.
